Ashridge Day Nursery - Ivinghoe

In 2023, we started the process to convert the old Kings Head restaurant in Ivinghoe, into the new Ashridge Day Nursery. The project, which involved extensive structural and cosmetic works, transformed the original building into an large day nursery, whilst keeping the traditional aesthetics of this Grade II listed property. 

Traditional building methods were used, along with matching existing materials such as Oak for timber work and lime mortar for masonry work.

Building methods, such as a Glasscrete system, were used to satisfy the requirements of old buildings, whilst being able to comply with Insulation requirements.
